Think of the people you may meet today. Ask God to help you see them with compassion and respond with practical care.

A prayer brought before God
Jesus told of a traveller who was attacked and left wounded beside the road. A Samaritan stopped, cared for his wounds and arranged for his continued care at an inn. Jesus pointed to the man who showed mercy and called His listener to do likewise. This parable invites us to let compassion become action.

Father, open my eyes to the people beside me.
Help me notice needs I might otherwise pass by. Give me patience to listen, courage to offer practical care, and wisdom to love with honesty.
Soften the places where I have grown indifferent. Let the love You have shown me become kindness I share with others.
Amen.
Carry this assurance with you.
God calls His children to love in deed and truth. Carry His kindness into one practical act of care today.
