Pause with the step before you. Bring God your fear and ask for courage shaped by wisdom, truth and love.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
A prayer brought before God
When her people faced danger, Esther was asked to approach the king on their behalf. She acknowledged the risk, asked her people to fast, and chose to go to him. Her response shows courage that takes danger seriously and seeks the support of others. It invites us to consider how we can act faithfully with preparation and care.
Esther 4:13–16Let us pray.
Lord, You know the step that makes me afraid.
Help me discern what is right and prepare with wisdom. Give me courage to speak truth with gentleness and act with integrity.
Keep me willing to seek counsel and receive help. When fear rises, steady me in Your presence so I can do the faithful thing before me.
Amen.

When you are afraid, you can place your trust in God. Let His faithfulness steady you as you seek wisdom and take the next right step.
