Settle for a moment in God’s presence. Bring Him the day you have lived and rest in His care.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
A prayer brought before God
David calls to God in distress and remembers the help he has received. As he prays, he turns toward the Lord’s goodness and ends with words of peaceful rest. We too can place an unfinished day in God’s hands and trust the One who watches over us.

Lord, I lay this day down before You.
Thank You for the moments I noticed You. Forgive me for the ways I fell short.
Help me release what I cannot undo and trust You with tomorrow. Grant me rest that restores body and soul.

Carry this assurance with you.
The Lord who keeps you does not slumber. Rest in His watchful care through the night.
