Bring the people you call family into this quiet moment. God knows each person and the care your relationships need.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
A prayer brought before God
After loss changed their household, Naomi prepared to return to her own people. Ruth chose to remain with her, pledging to go where Naomi went and to make Naomi’s people and God her own. Her faithful companionship reminds us that care for family can take the form of staying near, listening and sharing the next step.
Ruth 1:16–18Let us pray.
Father, I bring the people I call family before You.
You know our joys, our differences, and the burdens we carry. Help us listen with patience and speak with kindness.
Give me wisdom to offer care, ask for help, and make room for honest conversation. Let Your love shape the way I show up for those close to me.
Amen.
Carry this assurance with you.
As far as it depends on you, seek peace with others. Ask God for wisdom to care faithfully for your family, with kindness, honesty and appropriate boundaries.
