Come to God for mercy and a renewed heart. Receive His forgiveness, and ask for grace to forgive those who have hurt you.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
A prayer brought before God
When Nathan confronted David, David acknowledged his sin before the Lord. Nathan answered with the assurance that the Lord had put away his sin. God met David’s confession with mercy. We can turn toward that same gracious God for cleansing and strength to walk honestly with Him.
2 Samuel 12:13Let us pray.
Lord, You know exactly what happened, and how it wounded me.
I do not want to keep carrying this. Give me grace to release what I cannot resolve and to let go of resentment.
Where I need to be forgiven, cleanse me. Where I need to forgive, help me.
Amen.

God is faithful to forgive and cleanse those who confess their sins. His forgiveness in Christ also gives us a foundation for kindness and forgiveness toward others. Ask Him for a tender heart and wisdom for your next step.
