Prayer for Hope

When the way ahead feels dim

Bring God what has disappointed you. There is room here for honest sorrow and for hope rooted in the risen Christ.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

A prayer brought before God

Two disciples walked toward Emmaus, speaking about Jesus and the hope they thought they had lost. The risen Jesus came alongside them and opened the Scriptures. They recognised Him as He broke bread, then returned to Jerusalem with the news. Their story draws our attention to Christ, who meets His people with truth and renews their hope.

Luke 24:13–35

Let us pray.

Father, You know the disappointments I carry and the hopes I am afraid to name.

Meet me here with Your truth. Help me remember the risen Christ when I cannot see what comes next.

Renew my courage to love, to pray, and to keep walking with You. Let hope take root in Your faithfulness.

Amen.

Carry this assurance with you.

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, God has given His people a living hope. Let His mercy steady you as you look toward tomorrow.
