You can come to God weary. Bring Him the demands before you and ask for strength for the next faithful step.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
A prayer brought before God
Exhausted in the wilderness, Elijah lay down and slept. An angel woke him and gave him food and water. He rested again, then received another meal for the journey ahead. God cared for His servant in practical ways. This account encourages us to bring Him our weariness and receive the care we need.
1 Kings 19:4–8Let us pray.
Father, I come to You tired and aware of my limits.
Thank You that I can ask for help. Restore my strength for what is before me, and give me wisdom to receive rest and support.
Help me do the next faithful thing with courage and kindness. Teach me to depend on You through this day.
Amen.
Carry this assurance with you.
God is your refuge and strength, a present help in trouble. Draw near to Him and receive help for the step before you.
