Bring God the longing to be known and accompanied. You do not need to hide the quiet ache of feeling alone.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
A prayer brought before God
Paul recalled that no one stood with him at his first defence. Yet he wrote that the Lord stood with him and strengthened him, enabling the message to be proclaimed. His words acknowledge the pain of being unsupported while pointing to God’s faithfulness. We can bring Him our loneliness and ask for strength and meaningful companionship.
2 Timothy 4:16–18Let us pray.
Father, I bring You the loneliness I feel.
Help me remember that I can turn toward You even when companionship seems far away. Give me courage to reach out to someone trustworthy and kindness to welcome others in turn.
Open a path toward healthy connection, and sustain me while I wait. Let Your presence steady my heart today.
Amen.
Carry this assurance with you.
God’s promise to remain with His people gives us a foundation for trust. Draw near to Him, and take a small step toward connection with someone who can offer faithful care.
