Take a quiet breath and turn toward Christ. You can bring Him the noise around you and the unrest within.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
A prayer brought before God
As Jesus and His disciples crossed the lake, a storm filled their boat with water. The disciples woke Him in fear. Jesus spoke to the wind and sea, and a great calm followed. Their question about who He was invites us to consider His authority and bring our troubled hearts to Him.
Mark 4:35–41Let us pray.
Lord Jesus, I bring You the unrest within me.
Quiet the thoughts that pull me in every direction, and help me rest in Your presence.
Give me patience with what remains unsettled and gentleness toward those around me. Teach me to trust Your care and take the next step with a peaceful heart.
Amen.
Carry this assurance with you.
Turn your mind toward the Lord and place your trust in Him. His faithfulness gives you a place to rest as you walk through this day.
