Bring Jesus the pressure or temptation you are facing. Ask for clarity, strength and willingness to choose a faithful way forward.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
A prayer brought before God
In the wilderness, Jesus was tempted by the devil. He answered each temptation with Scripture and refused to turn from obedience to His Father. His response directs us toward God’s Word when we face pressure to choose wrongly. We can ask for help, step away from temptation and receive support as we seek to follow Him.
Matthew 4:1–11Let us pray.
Lord Jesus, You know where I am vulnerable.
Help me recognise temptation before I follow it and remember the truth of Your Word. Give me willingness to step away from what draws me toward harm and seek trustworthy help.
Strengthen me to choose what is right, even when the easier path calls loudly. Keep my heart near You today.
Amen.
Carry this assurance with you.
Jesus understands temptation, yet remained without sin. Come to Him with confidence to receive mercy and find grace for the help you need.
